Yesterday I've been to the greatest concert of all my life:just in front of the Colosseum (literally) a living legend has played about THREE HOURS AND A HALF of great music FOR FREE...and I was just one meter away from the barrier!Ten meters from the stage!!I'm almost speechless...
Have anybody had the luck to see Paul in concert?I think he's still touring around Europe, and IIRC last year he was in the States. If you have the opportunity go to one of his shows, you won't regret it!

Sorry, but don't like his music one bit. I wouldn't even go if he played right in front of my house. :D

ROFTKU -> That's from Monty Python

I don't like Paul McCartney much either. He has a few good songs, but to listen to it for three and a half hours. But on the other hand, my Dutch insticts rise by seeing the huge capital letter 'for free'.

Maybe I forgot one thing:three quarters of the concert were BEATLES SONGS!!!I don't like his solo carrier that much too (with a few exeptions,as for Live and let die),but I literally grew up with the Fab Four.I repeat:paul knows how to rock the place!

    Inside or outside the Colloseum?
Anyway, I've never heard of him. What kind of music does he sing?
And you said FREE; if there were free food I would surely go :D ;) :p :)

Forgive them, Aragorn II, especially the young ones. They have no idea what Paul McCartney and the Beatles have done for music. Apparently what passes for for good music nowadays are angst-ridden, cuss-filled, or just plain inane songs. I think the quality of music dipped after the 80s, maybe even before that.

Dear Alexander, there was no free food, just free water;and most important there were FREE DREAMS.
Anyway, saturday Paul played actually INSIDE the Colosseum, but it was a sort of private concert with very expensive tickets, and the incomes have been used for charity.
But sunday he played on a big stage in front of our loved monument, and there was I.
I hope you'll be courios enough to ask around for some Beatles records, and hope you'll love them as I do. :)

@Charlie: I don't listen to this crap(or this so-called music) other teenagers listen to.

@Aragorn II: My mother listened to Beatles and we have 3 records(and I think some CD's) but I never liked their songs.

OFF TOPIC: Now with this discussion I remeber the Colloseum. 1 day before I went there, a Greek play took place inside the Colosseum.

Time to talk about hikacking a thread!
That would have been tops, it's kind of a shame that I live here, or I would have been there in a shot. However, has anyone heard of the huge conspiracy theory surrounding Paul McCartney. You know, died etc. If anyone expresses and interest, I'll start a thread.
