I don't know if this is relevant to Sorcerer's Place or if I'm posting in the correct forum but I thought this might be relevant.

I tested the link and it worked when I posted it. Anyway, thanks BTA.

won't be responding to that then. I could probably have done, as have only just set up my paypal account, so the email would've blended in with the rest of the paypal emails i got just the other day.
[Thought to self - actually check that i don't have that email sitting there]

Yea, I got a mail like that some time ago too... You have to be really careful not to go to any other site from a PayPal mail than one that starts with http://www.paypal.com . Anything else is bound to be a scam.

But then, you see that warning in every payment notification. This really doesn't influence SP in any way. PayPal is totally safe - as long as you're not tricked into giving out any of your information. But that could just as well happen with any other online merchant like Amazon asking you for your credit card number. And again, it's only PayPal account holders that could get such mails, not those would just donate/pay to us. So have no fear of using PayPal to help support SP.

    Er...Tal

Is there a UK PayPal site? It seems to only let you have an account if you live in America

No there is just the paypal.com site. If you go to the sign up form it will default to the U.S. sign up form but if you look at the top there is a selection available to switch to the international sign up form. You can sign up from the UK using that form.
