Today I had my pictures done and it was.. interesting. I wanted to do something different but the guy wouldn't let me. I tried peace signs, thumbs up, cross eyed, and still he wouldn't let me!

Any fun stories from Picture Day?

BTW my picture turned out to be me looking away from the camera. :( There's always retakes!

Nothing funny from me. The photographers always tried to get me to smile - I lost my front teeth at 3 years old and didn't grow them back until I was 11. I also enjoy looking off camera, just to make people think.

Though the guy who took the pictures (we called him Mr. Green Teeth) had nasty breath and very fuzzy teeth. He liked getting up close and in your face.

For some reason they all flee screaming about an escaped cougar when I come in. :shake: It takes a particularly bad joke to get me to smile at those things, so I've always got that "crazed wacko" / "evil super-villain" look in my eyes when they snap the photo.

i used to do all that stuff too and they wouldn't take the pic until i'd behave and smile properly. so i put on this real fugly face just as they snapped the shot. they let me keep it and i had it on my i.d a whole year :bang:

during our class picture i used to get away with doing a lot of stuff though :D

Pictures... well... when I'm bored and carrying the phone. Then there's that USB cable, so they all finally end up in one of my countless "New Folder(n)"'s.

Edit: School pictures. Rarely looked good in those. Sometimes looked like the teacher. I remember people addressing me as the teacher instead of the real one who looked like a classmate.

I hate smiling with my teeth too, because my teeth aren't straight. So I try to keep my lips as closed as possible when the photographer tells me to say cheese. Very awkward, and I bet he knew what I was doing.

I had one photographer who was really good and much ore professional who actually adjusted to my crooked teeth problem. At certain angles, my teeth look better or worse, so sometimes he says "smile!" (only with lips) and other times "cheese". That has got to be my best school photo taking experience ever.

I remember my grade twelve photo. I knew that it wouldn't be in the year book because I would have a grad photo taken. So this picture was only going to be on my student card.

I looked like I was going to conquer the world.

I never liked having my photo taken at school; like others here I have issues with my teeth - I think they are yellow and disgusting so I try to smile with out revealing them. Also my secondary school seemed to persist on hiring fake gypsys (charm bracelets and long flowing robes and other stupid gypsy stereotyed things) to do the individual photos and the last time we had one done she was all "smile, make someone happy" so I just scowled because I had no intention of buying the photo (we didn't have ID's or anything like that) anyway and I was missing a free period for it.

MY 11th grade year I flipped off the camera right as the dude hit the button to take the picture.

They told me I had to go to the "re-takes" a week later, but I slept in that day and missed it, so my picture was deleted. I was the only kid in school with an ID card with no picture on it. :D :rolling:

In grade nine on photo day my homegroup/science teacher caught a student in the class wearing someone elses glasses so he took the glasses ....and wore them himself for the photo.
Great teacher though! We spent most of our science lessons playing soccer or "gravitational studies with a spherical obelisque" as he liked to call it.

I've had pretty decent run with ID photos, but this year I hade a real shocker. Anyway I covered my face up with a little skull sticker, now if the librarian asks me about it I just tell her that I left the mask at school.

I managed to make my friend laugh when he got his picture taken, and well, his eyes were closed and he had the wierdest look on his face, ya know, like right before you burst out in wild laughter  . I was quite proud of myself, he was so mad at me for doing that, I made him look so silly  hee hee hee...

I'm all for smiles, mine are all quite enthusiastic really :D . But in my grade 12 one, I had this evil "I'm plotting how to kill you! and you don't even know it! MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!" look in my eyes  but I didn't even try to...meh

My University ones were always worse than my school ones. They had an electronic image recorder, which would then put a grainy picture onto your student card.

Put simply - I looked like Shrek. It sure as heck didn't even remotely resemble me. I'm glad it wasn't my license photo, otherwise the cops would have arrested me the first time I got pulled over on a random breath test.

I don't know how it happened, but it might have been the angle of the shot. I look at least 40 kilos heavier (I was about 70kg at the time of the photo). Needless to say, that card only saw the light of day when necessary or when I was drunk.
