[IMG] Here's what I learned in school today:
In the US the average # of pizza slices consumed by college students in a week is 8 slices.
Now first I don't eat 8 slices of pizza a week, if any sometimes. But my roomates get pizza almost every other day during the week, and everyday on weekends. So it's guys like them that account for that.
Is anyone from a country where eating pizza is rare?

Hell, the town I live in only a town because of the college. The college covers half the area of the town just about, and the students count for more than half the population. The thing we have most here are bars and pizza places, in that order. There are more of those than anything else in the town. So pizza is consumed very regularly around here.

I also love pizza and eated about 3 a week. Now I eat more healthy last time and eat not much pizza anymore, sometimes one slice when I am hungry after going out to pubs etc...

Yesterday I had one for the first time this month... had to work for 2 till 10 so had to get some food. Then I go for a pizza, I love it way more then the common Chips with Mayonaise here in the Netherlands.

[IMG] Friday is my pizza day too! WhooHoo! My favorite toppings are mushrooms, pepperoni & italian sausage. There's a place by my house that makes great pizza! The crust is cooked all the way so the slices don't bend when you eat them....

They make a great Sicilian pie too!

    Now I want pizza....

  8. A couple of students in Trondheim, Norway was submitted to the hospital because they had eaten nothing but Grandiosa pizza(best selling pizza in Norway) for a whole year.

So I guess you should try and even out your diet with other good meals, like hamburgers and Kebab and other fast food(I am not a very good cook ;))

You guys should eat some real food, made by someone who knows their way around the kitchen. Then you'll realize fast food really isn't that great.

[IMG] Hmm, pizza .... I love pizza .... usually I eat it about every two weeks and I usually make it myself completely. When I am alone I make it more often, about three times a week. Actually pizza is fast food - the dough takes me 10 mintues, chopping the stuff right 5 more, baking 15 more minutes. Ready.

My fav variant is pizza with a little bit of bacon, lot's of finely chopped onions and garlic, fresh tomatoes, fresh herbs and lot's of cheese (I usually choose german or dutch gouda). Yummy.

btw - more receipes are welcome, maybe I missed something :D :D

Shouldn't that be the good ale days, Bel!?

I love pizza and considering you can actually put anything thing on them it seems possible that you can cover them in fine healthy foods.
But who wants to do that. Who cares if you die young, It's quality not quantity that counts!! :D :D :D

I'm also a big fan of homemade pizza.. some of my fav ingredients are olives, sun dried tomatoes, marinated garlic, paprica, aaaaand my own little thing... you know the bamboo things you eat in the asian kitchen? Don't know what they're called in english... you can find them canned in most any supermarket anyway, and they're great for pizza... they add some crunchyness.

I made note of all the posters and bulletins on such and such meetings on campus. One of the things they use to get us college students to these is pizza. I counted 9 events this week serving FREE pizza at these various meetings for clubs and frats and things like that. Good grief it's no wonder the average # of slices of pizza a week for college students is 8! And if you like pizza you don't need a meal plan, you just hit up all these meetings for free food.
