Imo the Haseduer is the best class. Because he get's at lvl. 1 the spell to immitate every other spell he ever learnd. So you could possibly cast time stop at lvl. 1 (but only if time stop is in your magic book),but it would propably fail, because of too heavy wild surge. The downside of a Haseduar are the wild surges, mostly at the beginning of the game, but later in the game when you have a high lvl. they don't happen that often. I'm now on Lvl. 28 with my Haseduar they happen very rare, and if they're mostly positive.

Multiclass: A Ranger who turns cleric. Wonderfull. Because the Ranger opens up the druid spells. -> Ironskin for a cleric. I just love it.

[IMG] Druid shapeshifter with Rebalanced mod
His AC goes down to -24 with buffs almost 100% magic resistance, 3 attacks per round, considerable damage, steady rate of regeneration, LOTS of HP (about 200 when lvl 30 or so), spellcasting while shapeshifted,....

Without Rebalanced mod he's not that good. :(

What the heck is a Hasduer?

I like Avengers. For the sole coolness of being able to transform into a fire salamander and breathing fireballs. Totally sweet. :D

So... Haseduer means wild mage. But you can't choose wild mage in BG1.

Personally, I would pick paladin (kit) or druid (kit) from single class characters or ranger/cleric or fighter/mage from multiclass characters.

    @Sephirot
Where did you get the name Haseduer???

Yeah Shepeshifter rebalanced is really unbalancer as it truly gives you too much power :(
But its cool to have an invinsible full-magic packed monstrosity under your command ;)

Well in Germany the class is called Haseduar and because this isn't a German expression I thought they took it from the orginal game ...
But it seems that my thoughts were wrong. How is this class called in the English game ?

In English, it is simply called the Wild Mage. An appropriate name, early on.

@Morgoth: The Kensai/Mage is probably my favorite class. I love the mage (check my profile :D ) and when combined with the Kensai, he can be unbeatable.

A Kensai's description: A warrior that is trained to be one with his sword
A katana's description: The katana is the perfect sword. Eventually the weilder and the katana become as one.

A perfect comination of warrior and weapon. But combined with a mage... . A Kensai cannot wear armor, but all he needs is his armor of spells.

    [IMG] Multiclass Fighter/Mage.

That's what I chose for my BG1/TotSC/BG2/ToB solo game.

I agree with the Ranger/Cleric multi-class. Iron skins make a huge difference as do all the insect summoning spells. Can't expect Jaheira to do it all herself, even though she is more than capable.
