Well choose then give your reason why.
Mine is Hogfather, havent even finished it yet but it is far superior to all the ones previously read (reading series in order).

Please answer even if you have read one or two.

Funny. I hated Hogfather. It was just too weird for me. My vote's for Pyramids, the first Pratchett book I've read and the one that got me hooked. Great book.

I like 'Small Gods' best, closely followed by 'Carpe Jugulum'.

[IMG] I'm in agreement with Tal. Pyramids was also the first Pratchett book I read and that one clinched it for me. It's closely followed by Jingo, and The Truth.

Carpe Jugulum was just to cheesy for me, I've never been a huge fan of the Witches' series.

My fav will always be the first one I read - The Colour Of Magic. It will always hold a warm, smelly place in my heart.

I really liked reaper man, just as i did mort. Death as a character just hasnt been done before in any book that i can think of, and the way that Pratchett defines him is just so, for lack of a better word, funny. I guess hilarious would fit. It's been a while since Equal Rites, but i seem to remember thinking it a bir corny. Small Gods was rocking though, and Moving Pictures isnt bad.

Very very hard choice. I picked Small Gods as it is both extremely funny and gives you interesting theological things to think about. However I could have picked more or less anyone as I like almost all just as much, there are some Pratchett books that I did not find as good his others but I will be damned if I can remember which ones it was.

[IMG] A hard decision between several but in the end went for Witches Abroad. Something about the combination of the three witches appeals to me.

I said Wyrd Sisters, and not just because it is on the Provincial curriculum as secondary reading for those studying Macbeth. I like the content about plays and the power of theatre -- especially Death getting stage fright!

Pyramids? That's quite interesting, because IMO that is one of the worst.
NO, no. Lords and Ladies is worst. What problem does he have with Elves? If you read Colour of magic and Strata (it's not discworld book), you know what I'm speaking of.
btw, my favourite ones are Feet of Clay, Light fantastic, Soul music, Interesting times... hm, long list it would be

    Feet of Clay for me.

To be truthful, I really like all of them, but for some reason, I really managed to get into Feet of Clay. I read the whole book in one day, which is good going for me. I couldn't put it down.

My whole top shelf is dominated with Terry's books. :p
