I must say that I haven't read many Greenwood books so I voted Salvatore.

Oh and you left the coolest weapon out of your poll:

    Bankenfuere

Well, Salvatores an excellent writer, but Greenwood's books are kind of slow.

[IMG] Hehe, everyone's voted for Salvatore. I did too.
And Life Stealer has got to be one of the coolest weapons I've ever heard of!

    Salvatore and Twinkle.
I've only read Elminster:The Making of a Mage from Greenwood. It was very good from start but in the end that damned villain mage kept resurrecting again so it killed the book.
Salvatore's books on the other hand have great action,it doesn't abuse magic and i love them.

Greenwood combined with Salvatore would be something. Too bad that even though Greendwood has the gift of implementing his stories with the proper material and all, he makes his books quite boring.

Anyone read Elminster in Hell? I mean, the story is nice and all. But essentially when you forget Elminster's memory surges, the contents are so few that the book could well be 10 pages long. It was so utterly boring with it's slow advancement that I was downright furious when I was reading it. And I can guarantee that of all the books in the world, that's the last one I'll ever re-read.

Salvatore's book are much better. I think Greenwoods books are too slow. Salvatore's books are fast-paced, have good characters, and good storylines.

Wow, someone actually voted for Greenwood :whoa:

Personally I have always found that Salvatore's books are generally nice light reading while Greenwood's books are so boring that I wouldn't complain if you wrote a moderized version of the Greek myth and had Hermes read from a Greenwood book to put Argus to sleep.

Frostmage is right, Bankenfuere is a huge Flamberge.

I really like the way those two sound together, Bankenfuere a mighty Flamberge.

    Edit: typos

Yes, it's probably Entreri's dagger, since he occasionally drains the life of people to heal himself with it. Catti-Brie used it to heal herself once too (accidently used it on an orc while wounded).

Life Stealer is Entreri's dagger. Khazid'hea is Cattibre's sword. @ Frostamge: it was a goblin in the Underdark that she used the dagger on.

The reason that I did not put Bankenfuer in the list is because you only really hear about it like twice, and it doesn't really have any specific attributes, ie: life stealing, killing demons...
