And Coke has the extremely dangerous dihydrogen monoxide in it too....

You can read about the dangers of DHMO.

I don't drink it now, and I'm not about to change. Admittedly, that's a decision made because I prefer Pepsi Max to Coke's bizarre aftertaste (which the addicts love) rather than for ethical reasons. But I'm never surprised by illegal and unethical actions perpetrated by major corporations -- all to often, "free market" translates as "if they've got money, they can do what the **** they want".

Who cares if it's dangerous or not.

I'll drink it until my last breath, and if it contributes to kill me, then so be it.

Yes, especially when it is pure water; it can kill you.

Coca Cola is not actually that tasty. I've never understood why it is so stupendously popular, so I figure it MUST contain some sort of addictive drug.

The web site is an educational lesson.

I think it does so very effectively. Every now and then the web site is referenced by some ignorant person trying to prove how unsafe styrofoam is or other such stuff.

I couldn't help but draw parallels while reading about the whole Coca-Cola issue. So it was my way of sarcastically doubting the validity of the story.

Not a big fan of Coke.

I drink loads of soothies and fresh fruit drinks. I get through loads of water as well in a day, probably 3 or 4 pints. I do drink loads of beer though, which isn't good for me.

Well, I'm pretty sure it's unhealthy.

For the doses of caffeine and sugar I get from it alone.

... and I'll continue to drink it anyway.

Everything in moderation and Coca Cola isn't the only cola available, since there are some local brands too (like Finspring Cola around here). Prefer juices, since they don't rot your teeth. CC goes pretty well with burgers, though.

Why drink Coke when I can think of a better product? ;)

And I prefer a glass of cooled Dihydrogen Monoxide to those other poisons.

Why do you think it's called Coca? Because the original Coca Cola drink was made of the Coca plant, the same plant that supplies us with happy white snow.

At last, a fellow Ribena fan!

On the Coke issue, I'm not sure about it being toxic, but I don't drink it due to the gas in it. It's like drinking hydrogen or something

I used to drink Coke in moderation but no longer do because of sugar content and I do not like the taste of diet Coke.

Imo any soft drink should be drunk in moceration.

@Barmy Army, beer is a food, again use in moderation.

@Nakia -- what's the point in drinking beer in moderation?
