I don’t know why I haven’t asked this before, but do any of you guys bleach your teeth? These days there are the many different “over the counter” bleaching kits from numerous companies that usually don’t work.

Then there are the dentist issued bleaching kits. Opalescence and Très White, for example, are two of the leading bleaching kits that you have to go through your dentist to get, and actually work.

As some of you know, I work at Ultradent, which manufacturers Opalescence and Très White, and I get certain products for a discount, so I’ve tried Très White...and it actually worked in 3 days…so I gave the rest to my g/f, which for her, it took 4 days to get the shade of white she wanted.

If you want to know more about some of Ultradent's products, Click here!
(I should be getting paid for this)

What exactly do you define as bleaching? Do peroxide toothpastes count (which do make teeth white)?

I've never used an actual bleaching kit but do brush regularly with good toothpaste so my teeth stay pretty white.

    No I am not vain!

My teeth are straight, healthy and strong, but are not the most 'white' teeth you will ever find.

Apart from whitening toothpaste 2/3/4 times per day (depending on how much sugary stuff I've had), I'm happy to keep my teeth as they are! To be honest, I only use the whitening toothpaste because I had to have 1/2 a tooth replaced after knocking it clean in half when I was a kid. The artificial half tends to get dirtier than the real half, which just looks odd. In fact, if I'd done it doing something cool (rather than trying to walk while looking through my dad's binoculars at an airshow), then I'd probably leave it more visible as a talking point at parties! :p

    @ Felinoid:

(Also, I'm not a "bird" as we sometimes use the word in Britain! :p )

It's a little too vain for me ;)

Besides that, my teeth are fine how they are.

    You're still an ass. :nono:

As for the rest of you...Whitening toothpast only removes surface stains (i.e. coffee stains) but bleaching kits work below the dentin to remove stains caused be anything from smoking, medication, injury, and a dozen other reasons. Sometimes people's teeth just get yellow, and something like Opalescence can get their teeth white again.

Oh, and try to stay on topic, will ya? :rolling:
