You need a choice somewhere between hatred and "The Waltons." My sister and I aren't particularly close, but we've grown moreso as we've grown up. Distance also helps!

We're the Waltons.

Actually, there is some ice and bitterness, but its easy to melt when we all try. Being a family isn't about how anyone is feeling at the moment, its a life-long decision.

Plus...both my brother and sister are doctors, so I'd be wise to continue my winning ways.

 

What is the 'Waltons'? I am not overly close to my siblings either, we are pretty far apart age wise and the only one I have lived together with for any lenght of time is my big sister. We have grown apart alot but of course I still love her and I am quite sure she loves me. With my younger siblings I am more of an uncle than a brother really.

 

I don't hate my siblings. Occasionally I think they're whiney little idiotic beings, but hate? No. Contempt is more like it

More seriously, I'm okay with my brother and sister, though they can annoy me from time to time.

 

I HATE my little sister, she's so annoying, plotter and such things. Stabbing would be the only option to get rid of her ....

 

You dont "hate" your siblings, Well generally speaking. They are just there to annoy you and be a pain in the butt. But you really can't "hate" your siblings, your forced to "love" them. hehe this reminds me of one of the Simpsons Episodes, when Marge is mad a Homer and Homer says to Marge, "You hate me, your husband who your forced to love." (Most likely not exact words, I forgot them) But you get the point. O and if you saw that episode you would know what im talking about. It's a pretty funny one too.

 

Joacqin, the Waltons was about the sappiest show ever produced. The familt was truly nauseating. I enjoyed watching the late 1970s version of "All Quiet on the Western Front" when the guy who played John Boy got shot. The thought of John Boy (or any Walton, for that matter) getting shot just gives me warm feelings.

On to Siblings! I have 4 brothers, one sister, 2 1/2 sisters and a whack of in-laws. There are days I would cheerfully shoot my brothers, and my sister married a twit and became kinda stupid herself. But, well, they're family, right? I try to keep my distance so as to keep things on the level. I use the phrase from Seinfeld: "Serenity Now!"

 

Two younger brothers, and this is the only time I will call them such. Yes, I hate them. Have always hated, and always will. Fortunately, I do not need to put up with them anymore. (moved! )

 

I got a brother and a sister. Both younger. I don't hate them, but they can get on my nerves sometimes. And my sister is worrying me, she has now reached the same height as me and is still growing!!!!! If she now starts to take some martial-art lessons, I fear that the power-balance in my family starts to change and I am on the loosing end.

 

I love my 7 years older brother and my 5 years older sister! My brother always makes me laugh, has a good sense o'humor. My sister is very understanding, but also crazy and fun to be with. They are both married and I realize I miss them, when they come to visit us.
I could have had 2 more brothers (that's why there is 5 years between me and my sister) and a litle sister. 2 miscarriages and 1 born dead.

 

No not really, my younger sister is 30 and I am the third of 4 children (the rest of us are past 30!). Perhaps my age has something to do with my not disliking them?

I want to kill him and his friends. They're 'torturing' me every day.
I also have a younger sister but I can't actually hit her when she irritates me because she's only 8.

As you can see we're a very good family and we love each other .

 

I have three half-sisters, all younger than me: 30, 20, and 15. They're pretty cool and we all get along very well.

I love my sis, she's 24, and we're having a great time together. Nothing like hitting the city together

 

I used to, but not anymore...

 

I used to love my brothers, but I don't see them anymore. I also used to have a sister but she's gone.

I think now though, if I had any brothers or sisters they would get on my nerves, I like my privacy and don't like people knowing much about me. I prefer being on my own.

 

Ok, this poll is very limiting since defferent people in my family have different personallities. My parents have 5 children ranging from 28-18, so I'll list them from oldest to youngest:

Kid. #1 = Becky...she's cool
Kid. #2 = Joel...he's an idiot, but withstandable
Kid. #3 = Brent...he's awsome
Kid. #4 = Scott...I think about killing him whenever I see him
Kid. #5 = oh, wait...that's me! Everyone except Scott loves me!!!

 

My sister and I get along very well. We help each other out, and talk a lot. She's older than me, so I get lots of good advice just talking to her. When we were younger, there was an occasional spat, but nothing too serious.

 

I hate my stupid brother. Sadly, there is an another one coming.
