I've been in the habit of hiding my SP window while at home or work, and wondered if anyone else has the same double life that I do.

My wife, friends and co-workers have no idea about the time spent and ideas generated in the hallowed halls of Sorcerer's Place.

So ... of the rest of you addicts out there ... how many of your friends and family members know that you are *insertusernamehere*

Nope, I told my stepdad I wanted to send a £5 to Sorcerer's Place. He asked me what it was, I told him and he went psycho, "You are not sending money, online to the other side of the bloody world!!!".
That was NOT a good day.

Neither do any of my friends, some know that sure, I spend a lot of time online, but they have no idea about *this*.

    *sigh*

Well, only my brother knows of my "double-life".

My father knows I spend a lot of time on the internet, because he pays the telephone bills. Every month it is the same story: "We reached a new record with the telephone bill, stop spending so much time on the internet".

    For the rest nobody knows.

[IMG] My parents don't really care. Since I moved out ages ago. All my closest friends now I am here. Though they never did see the fun in chatting with you guys and gals. They think we are boring. Perhaps we are. Perhaps we just think we have fun. I dunno. I think I am having fun :1eye:
My wife would kill me... If I had one :)

Good topic Mathetais. Its something I guess we're all curious about.

[IMG] Well I can't say I have a sign around my neck that says "I'm Big B at SP!", my brother and my closest friends know that I'm a regular here.

Hmmm maybe I could use that as my new pick-up line :p .

Noone knows. My parents don't quite know what to think... they used to worry a lot about all the time I spend in front of the computer, because they thought it was entirely antisocial, like watching tv or something... I could explain to my parents that 90% of the time I'm chatting, posting on forums, writing emails... but then I'd have to tell them, and part of my great plan is that parents can not expect to hear anything about what's going on in my life except if it's regarding terminal conditions, marriage or childbirth. :D

Well, yeah, mainly because the first thing I do when I get home is to jump on my computer and chat with Fizity :D . My life is pretty "organized", Wake up, Skool, go home, chat, (note it's from 3:10 to approx. 7:30), do a bit of homework, play computer games. It's nice, too.

    Life is good. :)

Edit: I think it's amazing that I've been using computer since I was 3 and now I'm 13, ten years, and I don't need glasses. Go me! :p

The only 'family' that would find my online activities annoying would be my girlfriend, but she lives about 1000 km south of here. As long as the websites I visit don't have too many Xs in their addresses, she prefers that I spend my time browsing forums rather than sneak off to make new female friends

[EDIT: Found something weird, and I un-weirded it]

Well, I try to talk people about spending time here and no one understands a bloody thing. The only thing anyone is concerned is that do I attend lessons instead of hanging in SP....

The people here are my best friends...

I will donate money if I at some point actually manage to get some, seeing as mouthing off at people has depleted my pocket money spply...

I access SP primarily while at work (during slow periods, etc. ;) ). :D I tell my wife about the forums to a small extent, but since she is not interested in CRPG, I don't bother telling her about the game discussions.
