    Ok, here's my take on the two weapons.

    Ixil's Spike is a great spear, and I find myself equipping Jaheira with it very often. At one point I made a version of it that let you select whether you wanted to use it as a spear, or you could take off the dagger-like tip and throw it (with an instant return). I lost the file during one of my re-formats, but I still like using it the regular game's version.

    Now, the staff of the ram *is* a great weapon, but when your victim goes flying across the screen after each and ever hit, it means that by default, Jaheira's script makes her go chasing after her victim to finish the job...which could make her more vulnerable in a massive battle. I personally only use the SotR when I'm backstabbing with Immy. It's a quick hit, and her victim goes flying away, so she has time to drink another invisibility potion/hide in shadows once again.

    So Ixil's spike got my vote...But that's just my two cents. :rolling:

    Thanks Kitrax, fast as ever.

    ~32 damage with ram
    ~27 damage with Ixil

    But I have to admit to have Jaheira running after someone takes longer than another 27 damage in a 1/3 round.

    Ixils' Spike as Jaheira is probably the best to use it with her limited weapon choices. I save the SotR for a secondary mage (Kelsey).

    Staff of the Ram is much better suited in a mages hands. I'd go with the spike. She wants her opponent right where it is. Where a Mage your crossing your fingers for that knockback to kick in to send the guy away from your mage so you can heal/cast spells/intercept the person and save your mage.
