As a new proud game owner of NWN2 I, of course, immediately installed the game.

The NWN translation into German was pathetic, and so I had to go to some lengths to get my hands on an english version. The greater my joy when I saw that NWN 2 didn't require it. The installation offers languages to choose rather than force feeding a poor translation down an unlucky buyer's throat whose only fault lies in living overseas in a country where games usually are translated.

I'd be interested to learn if I'm the only one feeling like this.

Translations suck. We are being told that stuff translated into Polish can be cheaper because people from the West of Europe won't come and buy English versions here. Or perhaps so that people from here won't travel abroad with lorryfuls of CDs, I don't really know. Thing is, some publishers get stuff from international publishers for cheap enough without translating. And it looks like you have the stupid forced translation in Germany too, while you're not quite a cheap source of games. At all. Eh, why can't they leave us the option to install it unscrewed? :(

Mine is an original one. It flied from the UK.

Translated games suck. I won't play NWN2 anytime soon but I'm playing NWN in French and it may explain why it's taking me so long too complete it (and why I almost always skip the dialogues).

I like games which offer you a choice (like Lionheart or Fallout for instance). Most of the time voices suck, like in BG1, even though Imoen is already irritating in English she is still leagues away from the French version. I never heard such an annoying voice as Imoen's French voice...

What is really annoying is that translations are pretty bad and it's quite uncommon to have a good translation for a game. When your English is good enough you can find the actual words that were used in the original because the translation is really awful (and that applies to movies as well). So yes translated games tend to piss me off.

EDIT: didn't vote since I don't have NWN2 but I felt I had to post on that topic.
