    If you're so much interested in Boo's demise, you should install this mod that has Boo kidnapping quest. Unfortunately I don't remember which it was, but surely someone can tell that. It's quite hilarious.

    Yep! Just checked, and it was Unfinished Business. Nice mod in every aspect, except for the Valygar manhunt quest which I couldn't complete without the CluaConsole.

    A party of Giant Mutated Space Hamster Bounty Hunters arrive in Faerun to finally kill the most evil and hated member of their race .........Boo! They slaughter Boo as he sleeps in Minsc's backpack and then Minsc find's his poor little Boo flayed beyond rssurection! Ah. (cue evil cackle)

    I voted for 'other:'

    During a fight in Copper Coronet, Boo accidentally slipped out of Minsc's pocket, flying into a full wine-barrel. Days later the residents of Copper Coronet claimed they could hear odd hiccups and someone shouting "Boo? Boo?"
