I started going grey at 14 (it's a family trait dad and his brothers were all grey by 21) but as I had long hair as well (down to my waist) from 19 to about 25-26 I would have my hair dyed a dark brown just below my natural shade. I then chopped about half my hair off and let the dye grow out and since then it has been my natural colour except for special occasions when it has been pink, green, black and multi-coloured. And usually skinhead I occasionally wax my head

You should have kept your hair long and grey, it would look very cool. In ancient Irish customs, going grey early was a sign of great wisdom.

I used to dye my hair black, but not anymore. I have natural long straight dark brown hair, though I was born blonde, with black eyebrows and dark brown eyes, so I looked like a sinister baby! Though I am only 24, white hairs are starting to appear, but I think it looks cool.

Oh yeah it was cool but when I switched from being employed to contract having long hair lost me work so I chopped it.

Au naturel for me. It's a brown chocolate like colour. I'm lazy so I'm pretty sure I won't dye it till I'm old and grey. :D

I have brown hair but have dyed it blond for a few years now, I kind of like it but I'm going back to brown before the army. No reason to have your hair dyed in there since you're probably going to loose most of it.

Perfectly natural stunning light brown colour as here. But I've cut it recently and the new version is in my profile pics. At any rate, my hair rules. ;) However, I used to have strands in all shades of brown... within a matching tonation but either lighter or darker than the rest, without having highlights done. That and the occasional metallic copper reflex.

@DarkStrider: That's what you get for mixing with the drow. :shake:

Hey, first one to vote for no hair! Actually that was I lie, since I have about half a centimetre of hair now. It seems to me that there is some sort of common civillian opinion that hair is good. I hate hair, so for your viewing pleasure you can see a picture of me back in the lovely army days right here.

Results so far (for those interested but unwilling to vote): 16 people dye their hair, 7 haven't dyed their hair and 1 person has no hair.

Back when I was in my teens, my g/f dyed their hair blonde, so I did, too. Later, I went into black and red (which no one noticed). My hair is usually a mottle of dark brown, light brown, blonde and grey. An analogy for those who know about yarn would be to compare my hair to veregated yarn.

:geezer: Bah! My birth was so traumatic I *came*out* with grey hair!

@chev - That's you? Oh my.  ;)

My hair is natural brown now, but I've had blonde, purple (which faded to red and the orange), red, and I am doing blue soon.

I'm not trying to rebel, I just like it.
