Favorite NPC? Minsc and boo, un-original I know but that still them!

Least favorite? Korgan I just loath his dialogue, attitude and an evil dwarf is weird IMHO

The most Powerfull? Jaheira! at high level with a good armor, good shield + her 17 dex = very low AC I manage to get her to -7 at Hell in SOA can't remember though + if you give her a Belt of strengh + iron skin + buffing spell she's UNSTOPABLE! and her romance is great.

The weakest? Hard to say Their is really no weak char, I vote Yoshimo though. don't know why just cheked a random choice

The NPC I always have? Jaheira for her romance and look at the most powerfull also^^

The NPC I never have? Korgan yuck! I sure loath him

Best wizards? Edwin 'o course,

Fine fine! just stop pestering(spelling?) me!

Best Healer? Vicconia being a Vanilla Cleric

Best Fighter? Sarevok being a vanilla fighter ( Korgan too but his dex is too low compared to Sarevok)

Voice acting? Vicconia, I like her mysterious voice

When you say best fighter, best healer, and best mage, do you mean which I prefer or which one is the most powerfulest/best at what they do?

 

The best in your opinion, otherwise everyone would go for Sarevok-Viccy-Edwin. This is all things considered, like Ano's fighting skills and +4 Wisdom, Viccy's MR, Sarevok's Deathbringer Assult, Eddie's Amulet, Minsc's Berserk, etc, etc, etc.
Oh, and there's a reason for asking the last question, because they have the same voice actor.

He's one of my favorite characters in a game ever. I don't know why, there's just something about him that I like a lot.

 

Deathmage. Where did you get the info about the voice acting? It's cool.

 

@Khazraj, there's a topic on the BG2 forum somewhere entitled something about Golander Blackrock. Run a search on "voice actors" and you'll find it.

 

My choices will probably not sit well with others, but these are supposed to be in my opinion.

Fav NPC - I actually have a quite a few that I like to play with. The one that keeps coming back for more and has yet to fail me is Anomen. Jaheira is a very close second.

Least fav - Edwin

Most and least powerful leaves a lot to interpretation. Here is where I Jaheira rank #1. Gotta love those insect spells and iron skins while decimating enemies with, of all things, the Staff of Thunder & Lightning. For weakest, I chose Keldorn just at random. I'm one who believes that there is no strong or weak character -- it's all how you play them.

I've waxed poetic several times about my party routinely consisting of Minsc, Anomen, Jaheira and Nalia. Just an awesome combination that works amazingly well.

I can't say there was a character that I have never had in my party because I've had everyone at least once, but more often twice. There are a bunch, with Edwin and Imoen topping the list.

Best wizard and healer - this should come as no surprise to many. Nalia and Anomen, respectively.

Best fighter will always be Minsc & Boo.

If, indeed, the same VOA (voice over actress) does Nalia and Viconia she's very talented. I always thought that Nalia and Imoen sounded alot alike.

 

The said voice actor also did Viconia and Skie in BG1. Now, Skie and Nalia sounds very similar, but Nalia and Viccy just doesn't. Then again, Viconia does whisper most of her lines.

 

I think both of those voice acings suck. Viconia is too "mysterious" and Nalia is kinda whiny... Anyway Nalia is the NPC I hate most of them all, with Aerie on a second. Valygar rocks!

Impressive young Jedi. You too have the power of the poll within you.

One thing I feel the need to point out here. All in all, Anomen may be the best cleric in the game. His higher strength, and the fact that he gets multiple proficiency points in weapons and multiple attacks per round, may actually mean he's better than Viconia. Viconia gets a few extra 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level spells, but she'll never get more than one attack per round, is horrible if you try to dual-wield her, and will always have a low hitpoint total. I don't know - I don't think a couple of extra low-level spells is enough to make up for that.

 

WHat about the 1st Lv spell, "doom"? I often use it. For 2nd Lv spells, I often use "aid" and chant, I know this two spells does not have great benefit, but I use them so that Viconia will have something to do if she used up her high Lv spells. For Lv 3 spells I go for "remove paralysis", as sometimes her "chaotic commands" spells might be used up.

I'm not saying that there are no useful 1st, 2nd or 3rd level cleric spells - I agree that there most certainly are. What I was talking about is the number of spells you get to memorize. Before Anomen passes his knighthood test (or if he fails it), Viconia gets to memorize 2 more 1st, 2nd and 3rd level spells. After he gains his knighthood, Viconia only gets 2 more 3rd level spells (his wisdom boost to 16 gives him 2 bonus first and second level spells).

So, what I'm saying is that the couple of extra spells you get to memorize based on the wisdom, doesn't make up for the fact that Viconia can't shine a light to Anomen in the physical combat department. When you think about it, even before he passes his knighthood, Anomen still gets a decent number of 1st-3rd level spells, because they are low level, so you get a lot of them anyway when you are a middle to high level character. I also like the fact that at higher levels, Anomen can destroy undead, whereas Viconia makes them allies temporarily.

 

And Anomen seems to start at a decent level each time, sometimes my PC is level 8 and Ano comes packed with a Level 6 spell slot at Level 11.
