    ...change my displayed name?

    Pros:
Alternative is cooler and more RPG-ish

    Cons:
Confusion with established identity (or am I being egotistical?)
    Could annoy Tal

By this time next week, the majority shall rule!

In Elven: Tariangren (Queen of Iron, like made of iron, tari angren joined together)

Tari en anga, Tari angaen or joined to Tariangaen - Queen of iron (iron as metal)

Note: Elven is more snobbish than French even, especially if royalty-like nicks are considered :D

Rallymama sounds fine to me as well, and sorry, but the other one doesn't do anything for me...

I like the second option better.

Then again, I've always been a sucker for RP names ;)

From my experiences as an administrator, it shouldn't be too hard for Tal to change your name. Of course, that depends mostly on the forum software...

Out of curiosity - what does Rallymama mean?

Truth be told, I have no preference.

@ejsmith: ROFLMAO! I think we have a winner! :D

@C'Jakob: Hubby used to race RC cars and he bought me a car to keep me from getting bored. It was in the class called rally cars. I was the only woman on the drivers' stand and I was pregnant at the time, so... Rallymama!

What I vote or what opinion I have is of no consequence. People are individuals. Be an individual. Follow what your heart desires. If it so desirs to change your name, go with it. Once we all conform to societies wishes, society will surely become rather dull. So be original and do what half the world does and drink "be a pepper, drink Dr. Pepper"

Elios, there's a big difference between conforming to society and gathering input before making a decision - surely a Berkeley student understands this?

I obviously WANT to change my displayed-name, the real question is, would it be more trouble than satisfaction? "Rallymama" fits me but is out of context here; "Reine d'Acier" is in context but more than 10 years out of date to the person I am now. While my poll was stated as a binary choice (1 or 2) with a binary result (yes or no), the real result is something else - great suggestions from other SP'ers!

Surely you've heard the old chestnut, "You can't give yourself a nickname?"
