My fave is definitely the one with the messed up translation dictionary.

"I will not buy this record, it is scratched!"

"Erm, this is a tobacconist."

Hmmmm.... my favorite Monty Python Episode would have to be the one with "The Killer Cars!!" I hope this rings a bell with a few people ....

 

NO one expects the Spanish Inquisition!!
Definatly top with me , although my girlfriend says the ministry of silly walks. Ah well, she can't be right all the time .

 

I would have liked to see the philosophers WC in football, Greece VS Germany on that list, I laugh my self silly by just thinking on it.

Too many good choices. Your list does contain some of my favorites. The "Dead Parrot" sketch came to mind first, but the "Cheese shop" and Lumberjack song are hilarious as well.

 

though choice! I'm drawn between the argument clinic (if that's the right name) and the one where the newly weds want to buy a bed!

And the one where they keep blowing up animals (there's the Dairy psychologist as well in this episode)

 

The lumberjack song

 

The 1000m race for people with no sense of direction.. or the expedition to the two tops of Mt. Kilamanjaro and to find the last expedition.. so swweeaaat

or the man with the tape recorder up his nose.. hah memories

 

The coal miners' dispute in Llandarog (from "Behind the Eight Ball")! For those that missed it, the joke is that it's not a labour dispute, they are basically having a Mensa meeting down there and shouting rival theories at each other about art and history. I had an extremely hard time sitting through a lecture on classical Greek architecture in university without wanting to leap up, smack the prof on the head with a shovel, and cry, "You bloody fool, Morgan, that's a metope! You wouldn't know the Battle of Borodino from a tiger's bum!" And of course the magnificent closing line, delivered deadpan by the newscaster, "The miners have increased their demands to thirteen reasons why Henry III was a bad king".

Edit: Actually, now that I think upon it, it's a lot like an enactment of an SP thread before we split Whatnots! Maybe it should be our official SP episode!

I love the Ministry of Silly Walks sketch

 

I like three best: the Spam! thing, the episode about the guy returning a defective ant, and...

The Tree identification guide.

"Number twenty-three... the Larch."

Although the "More Beans!" thing with the ironing gets an honourable mention.
