    [IMG] Right, first things first.
Spell properly, because if you don't do that in your module, people won't be very impressed. Just a suggestion there.

Second; The Poll. I must say, it was extremely brief, and may I just add that asking whether you want PvP or no PvP is pointless, since (if it is a single-player mod) there will only be one player there. So, put No PvP anyway.
It is obvious you should be making your own items.
And since i couldn't find anything on Mythica on the site, another link would be helpful.

Thirdly; do you even know remotely what you want?!
You cannot simply give us 4 modules for area's in the module! Forest/Dungeon/Mythica(?)/Dragon Mountains(?)!

And it is obvious you'll have to have more settings than that!

Just a few pointer, coming from someone a bit experienced. heheh :)

[IMG] Nothing, and I mean nothing turns me off more than lousy spelling/grammar in a module. I stopped playing one before I even started because the first sentence an NPC that approached me said was along the lines of "im the ...". Yea... Go show someone else that elementary school training was lost on you.

I have to agree with both Tal and Gopher. I get incredibly annoyed with poor spelling. I do not have much of a problem with poor grammar if it is in character (ie. A homeless guy might use it, but a mage won't).

Don't worry about the PvP setting, as Gopher said, it's irrelevant in SP and in MP, let the host decide.

Name doesn't matter anywhere near as much as the quality of the mod itself, so don't worry about that.

Why are you restricting yourself to a single setting? Many of the best mods I've seen have a variety of settings in them.

Story is key. Sounds simple enough, but too many of the modules I have seen out there are simply a bunch of areas strung together for the players to hack and slash their way through. While it may appeal to some, I find it somewhat pointless. Coming up with a well-developed plot that your players can "sink their teeth into" - and by this I don't mean "Go in that cave and kill all the goblins" - gets the players feeling they are part of the story, helps immerse them into the world you have created, and will keep them coming back for more.

Another thing I find critical is identifying the level range you intend for your players and making the encounters appropriately. Running into liches at level 5 or a sea of skeletons at level 20 are equally annoying.

Beyond that, try to think of the games/modules you have enjoyed and why you enjoyed them. Let your imagination run wild and good luck with this endeavour.

I want a finnished module. Something that is complete. What this means is that there is no bad conversation nodes, scripts that act buggy, journel entries that work, ohh and quests that can be solved.

A person should make modules for them selves, if it is good people will play it.

[IMG] One more thing; Get a good few people to test it. Not just one, that way (if you DO decide to let people test it), you get a good variety of opinions.
There's nothing worse than making a module only you like playing.

Check out my thread on the module I'm doing. "What kind of Module do you prefer?"
