i was looking over the spittin and pissin threads, and thought of a drinking one!

for me it's about late 13 i think, much too young i belive, but then again, what the hey!

My option wasn't available, which is age 12.

That was the age at which i went to highschool, and you get into your first parties and stuff. It wasn't allowed for us to drink at schoolparties, but they always had these huge bowls of non alcoholic punch, and we used to secretly add rum or scotch to it, and smuggle cans of beer into the place. My old man let me have my first taste of beer when i was 8 though. I remember everyone was looking at what my reaction would be, expecting me to make a funny face and complain about bitterness or something, but much to everyone's surprise i said that i kinda liked it.

 

My real and more or less regular drinking started when I was about 15, mostly glass of wine for the dinner.
Of course I tried alcohol few times before

 

My option definately isn't on there. My parents always let me have a sip of their wine or beer or whatever they were having from a very young age.

First time I got drunk I was all of 7 .

 

I first got properly drunk at 14. Back then I only did it rarely and got by with small amounts.

Nowadays that I don't have to worry about what my folks think, I tend to have two twelvepacks per weekend. Beer is pretty cheap where I come from.

 

I started going to pubs and ordering drinks (what i feel is when I started drinking) at 14, I'd had drinks at family dos and parties before this but always under the watchful eye of the mother....

 

Drinking in the home from about 7. First pint I ordered in the pub was about 13 or 14. We lived in a small village on the edge of two police districts so the landlords were glad of any business they could get and weren't too concerned about being raided.
The thing is we were fairly sensible about it, we didn't get drunk there (except for birthdays and new years). Just a couple of pints and a few games of pool.

 

I've started buying drinks around 17... I had tried alcohol much earlier, but didn't like it. My father had the ingenious idea of letting me drink the foam off the beer when I was around 6 or 7 - hence the late start of "serious" drinking.

 

First time properly drunk of my ass? 15. But I had been drinking for a few years before that....

 

Had my first beer when I was 14, and neeeever been drunk.

 

Not right out of the womb, but a few hours after that. Damn that survival instinct!

 

My first taste was at 14 in a couple of school parties. But didn't start regularly drinking till I was 18. I have never actually lost it while drinking since I seem to have quite a high level of tolerance as compared to my friends. By the time I begin to believe the alcohol is getting to me, it's time to drag one of my cronies off to his room.

 

I think I was around 12 or 13 when I first got drunk, but I was around 16 when I was first introduced to that glorious establishment, known simply as, 'the pub'.

 

Well, I probably got drunk for the first time at 17, but I certainly wasn't a regular drinker at the time. (Which is probably part of the reason that I got drunk.) As for drinking somewhat regularly, it wasn't until I was 21, which is the legal age here.

 

Oh Lord! I first properly got drunk at 15 but i was drinking wwaaaaaaayy before that though! Damn those college parties ... hold on a sec, i was only 15!

 

The first time I got reaaaally drunk was when I was 14 but as many others here I had taken smaller amounts before that.

I have never really been much of a drinker. I have had the odd glass of wine or whatever since I was in my early teens but it has only been in the last couple of years that I have really drunk alcohol with any regularity.

As a result of this, coupled with the fact that it really takes quite a lot to get me drunk, I have only really been drunk once and that was at the ripe young age of 28. Not so surprisingly St Petersburg + 7 glasses of champage + 7 glasses of vodka within a very short period of time = 1 drunk JSBB. No hangover though.
