[IMG] As I just got these books for Christmas, which is better, Robin Hobb's 'The Farseer Trilogy' or Terry Pratchet's 'Thief of Time'?

I don't know about the first, but I didn't like Thief of Time much. Seemed too deja vu and not really that good either.

[IMG] Deja vu as in the book repeats itself or the book repeats other books in the series?
After getting disconnected from the net last night I just desided to forget about the poll and read The Farseer Trilogy, seems like everyone was in my favour in both accounts ;)

Deja vu as in reusing a common idea and making it funny. Only I didn't really find it that funny or witty either. It's hard to explain without spoiling half of the book for you.

Nothing wrong really with Thief of Time, just not Pratchetts best work. The thing is that the Farseer books are *really* good. They are one of the three best fantasy series I have ever read. Perhaps not good reading if you have a tendency to be depressed or prefer happy jolly books though. :)
Do a search on this forum for Hobb and atleast one small topic about her work should pop up.

I haven't read Thief of Time, but I highly doubt it is as good as The Farseer Trilogy. It's just amazing!
