POLL: Will you aid the "helpless orc"?

You enter a large cavern and immediately notice a large orc chained to post in the center of the chamber. It speaks to you ruggedly in the common tounge asking you to get the key on the table near the far wall. It tells you that it is a good orc and will give you information if you free it.

Will you: 1. Free the orc. 2. Kill it. or simply, 3.Leave without doing anything.

I would give it a chance and unchain it. I could always kill it if it attacked me.

I would unchain it, but be on guard in case it tries anything. No one shuld be left hanging on a wall. And hey, it could actually be a good orc!

 

I'd question it first, then most likely aid it.

"Oouh, you a smart one" 8people. That's basically what I would do. I would try and trick it into telling me the truth to see if it really was bad.

 

Hey, you never know if he could be a scimitar dual-wielding chaotic good orc ranger, fellows.

 

I would unchain it regardless as my party can make short work of twenty-thirty orcs at a time, however in RL it would first go get reinforcements or a firearm before releasing it.

 

In real life I'd be wondering what the hell an orc was doing here, more to the fact... why I was even in a cavern... outside

 

In reallife I was sitting behind my PC drinking beer and then fall asleep and dream about a nice sexy half-orc in a chainmail bikini

I would kill it. Probably wouldn't harm anyone but i just the face of dying creatures is all....

 

qoute: "in real life". I think the first guy who said that might have meant if Faerun and Dungeons and Dragons WAS real life. If that was the case I would most likely just leave it there and be on my way in a bloody-hellish haste for fear I would be slaughtered by a horde of flesh-hungry orcs looking for dinner!

Now think of the same question if you had no companions and all your equipment was gone. Then what would you do. lol The answer seems obvious and inevitable, forget the orc and get the heck out of there.

I would resist the urge to kill it, and hold my sword (suposing I had one!) and force information form it. Perphaps some methodical torture.....
