Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor associate producer Chuck Yager joins us this month from S.S.I. for the next in our series of exclusive interviews. Chuck gives us an idea of some of the ties between Pool of Radiance and the Dungeon Master's Guide, including a couple of unique new magic items . And then there's the horde of halfling barbarians…

Wizards of the Coast: This month marks the release of the new edition of the Dungeon Master's Guide. Does Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor take advantage of any of the variant rules featured in the DMG, or is it strictly "according to Hoyle"?

Chuck Yager: Pool of Radiance will indeed be taking advantage of the point-based character generation system offered in the DMG. We wanted to give players the utmost flexibility when creating their band of adventurers, and therefore opted to go with spending points to build your ability scores rather than having to reroll numerous times to achieve the scores you wanted. All in all, we feel it has worked out great through our internal play testing thus far.

You can find the rest of the interview here.
