[IMG] Hi. I know you guys need to make money and all that, but would it be possible to not have an ad pop up every time I click on anything at your site. I spend more time closing the same freakin' ads over and over again than I do reading posts!! They're more annoying than that spelling-bee reject who was dissing the game.

[IMG] Do pop-ups come up when you play IWD II? No.

So don't post about them in the IWD forum. Scroll down on main forum page and you'll see Sorcerers' Sundries.

Besides who doesn't love the big kitten waving his paw?

    Hmmm.

My maturity is taking a hit here.

If I laugh, then I'm subsidizing this kind of posting.

But if I don't laugh, I'm scaring away new people.

    What to do...what to do...

Either way, donate using Palpal and you never have to worry about pop-ups again.

[IMG] It's easier to close a pop-up then pay a subscription fee.

[IMG] a) Turn your cookies on. The pop-ups are scripted to only show once every 6 hours. There are only a few pages where one pop-up always shows. (The front page and a few in BG2 subsection.)
If you see them more often than that, your cookies are messed up.

    b) Yes, I do need to make money with SP, unfortunately. The nice people I'm leasing the server from demand that I pay them around $140 every month. As I said before, if someone decides to become a patron of SP and donate $140 to me every month, I'll remove all pop-ups right away.

But no such hero(ine) turned up yet, unfortunately... And donations are few and far in between. As much as I hate pop-ups too, they enable me to pay the bills for SP every month. And for as long as the situation is like this, treat them as your best friends. All that you need to do on your end is let it load fully before closing it, you're not even required to click.

Or you can't control your mouse properly, or you don't read very much posts on the BoM. ;)
(MoN ft. Jan Jansen: Don't mean to startle or anything, but...)

I rather click 2 pop-ups away then find out that SP is nomore...
Or, indeed, you could donate a small sum once in a while if you want to show your appreciation.

Upidstay -- C'mon. You cannot be serious. Do you really think that 2 pop ups on, AT THE MOST, 2 screens, is not worth the value of what's contained in this site?

There's a really big screen over on the front page called "Pay Pal", although you have to show some initiative to access it -- it won't pop up for you. Now there's a thought....maybe it should.

    What's it all about?
    Sponserships.
    Auctions?
    Hosting E-bay?

[IMG] Sorry...I was thinking more along the line of sponsorships in some fashion. Who knows? It can't hurt to ask...Plus, Sorcerer's Place: Brought to you by Pepsi! Has a certain ring to it! ;)
