ITs too bad that the coolest portrait site, Lady Nightshades, Has been closed cause all of the portraits there were cool and nice quality. They were split into categories and all such stuff, you might go to The Ironworks, i cnart remeber the adress but thats the name. They have some too

    [IMG] Firestorm,

since you're pretty new here you don't know about one non-written rule on these boards. And yet, there are no authorities now to say it so I'll do it instead just to prevent more damage (posting a link).

    A rule: Never mention Ironworx!

Why? Read all of this thread: http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/Forum2/HTML/002219.html

A note to Tal, maybe it would be good to put this in FAQ too?

Hmmmm I didn't know so many intruiges where behind all of this.....
From This day I'll retain myself from posting links to other places than those mentioned here. In respect of this Forum. and its moderators.
Else no fuzz about this will come from me.

Nobleman, Tal is cool about posting links to other sites normally. He even does it himself. The Ironworks case is a special one as is sort of explained in the link that Extremist posted. Basically, that site behaved in a very bad way towards Tal and so he prefers not to encourage them.

Although saying that, I think it is polite to let Tal know of other directly related sites anyway. That way he can put up information in the Links section or wherever is appropriate in the rest of Sorcerer's. (Maybe then people will actually find the information they are after rather than relying on certain people posting links to help them out ;)) If I find a site that might be worth linking to I email the details to Tal. Also, I think Tal likes to email the owner of the site to make sure they are happy with him putting a link up.

Maybe someone should write a book about net etiquette :D

PS I've just realised, probably one of those rules is not answering on behalf of someone else :o

The links page is not necessarily the easiest to find on this site. As a webmaster, I understand that most sites don't want to send all of their visitors to someone else, but it also might increase the site's value as a resource site if there was say a listing of other sites with portrait's at the end of the BG2 resource page with the portraits in it.

Just something for the runners of this site to consider.
