Possibly change name in middle of game?

Subject sort of speaks for itself, but, anyway, I was wondering if there was some way one could change their main character's name somehow. I'm thinking maybe it could be done, but if so, then I've never heard. I mean, if we can walk around with LOTR parties and such, heh, then we should at least be able to change our names! heh, speaking of characters from fantasy books...what class do you think Thomas Covenant would be?

 

If you're already in the middle of a game, then the only way I know how to change your name is to used ShadowKeeper and alter your main character's name. NPC names cannot be changed.

 

NPC's names cannot be changed? Of course they can.

Use ShadowCheater, press the ## icon beside an NPC's name, then click "find" and you can name them anything that exists in the game as a dialog reference. There are two fields for your name, so put it in both.

To make your own name, use IEEP's dialog editor to write a dialog reference.

 

I have changed the name of my Protagonist successfully using Shadowkeeper. The good thing is that any letters, notes and the like with your characters name on change to the new character name.

 

I'm reasonably certain he meant 'can you change their names without cheating.'
