Heh, word games. Anyway, we all have had some special times in our life when we have felt especially good because of achieving something. Big or small, this could be the post for boasting of it.

The matter I feel very proud of is that I managed to graduate from high school (the one just before the university/college). Had *very* big problems with my swedish exam, but it was accepted at the second try! :D Took a helluva lot of work... and I still don´t understand swedish very well, if at all.

Hopefully there hasn´t been any topics like this in the near past... didn´t find one...

[IMG] Congrats, Virne! Finishing high school is something worth boasting about. Go on to kick butt at college or university, get a good job, and make so much money you can roll around on the floor covered with the stuff!

Right now, I only have two things to list:
    1. I'm on the honour roll
    2. I'm the only person I know to have scars from playing chess

[IMG] C'mon reepnorp. You can't tell us that you have scars from playing chess without telling the story! It's got to be good.

Okay, fine. Actually I was hoping that someone would ask. Here is my story:

I was sitting in the library at school playing chess. My stupid opponent was getting up, and shoved the chessboard. Only God knows how, but the board got airborne. WHAM! Right between the eyes! It hurt like hell at first. Then I noticed it was bleeding like crazy. Just think, if it had hit me even one centimetre to either the left or the right, I would have been blinded.

OMG, reepnorp. You're like my chess hero! I could play chess all the time and have nothing like that happen to me!

My thing to boast about is that I don't like to boast! (Not quite true...)

Well okay. I managed once to swim 82 meter under water. I have to say I was completely exhausted afterwards. Boy, I thought I was gonna die!

I'm not much the type to show off. Practicing MartialArts has taught me that. Often I see people showing off their 'skills' and making a big deal about it. I don't. I'm currently training to get my blackbelt in Judo, and really, that's nothing special if you ask me.

I do like showing my sword though, as well as crushing my opponents with supreme tactics. Both in matches as in games. :)

He-hey! If you like to boast of your sword, I like to boast of my computer.

    ~2,0 GHz
    512 Mt DDR RAM
    GeForce 4 TI-4400 :D
17" TFT :D :D (And boy; it cost a small fortune. Worth it though.)

We are not living in America... dam-di-dam... We are not... sorry... for ya...

    [edit] Aww... C´mon, with 17" TFT? [/edit]

Mmmh, I'm still more impressed by Faragon's sword and martial arts. Seen them both. I think your computers won't last long when you meet. Though you don't need a sword or a stunning blow to crush a computer... :D

[IMG] Fetting results of Chemisty test, I thought I had done really badly. The teacher read the best four scores (from fourth to first)

    71%
    then
    73%
    then
    76%
    then there was me
    91%!

I thought I'd done really badly! It is really embarassing getting marks like that... especially when you don't revise...
