Powergaming question: What AC do you need for a decoy in regular mode?

I've read all over the place that you need a 72 in HoF mode (and the characters with this are way too cheesey for me), but what about in regular mode?

What AC do you need so that the only chance of getting hit by a physical attack in regular mode is by the enemies rolling a 20?

    TIA

Agreed. If you haven't played thru the game entirely at least once, why worry about powergaming, uber-decoys, etc. Just build a decent party and play it and enjoy the experience of a "new" IE game.

I have a feeling Klorox has already played the game...he just wants to do it with a bit of planning this time through. I've seen him around on the IWD2 board earlier too...

Anyway, I've played with the JUPP Arcane party in the past, and by the time I hit Kuldahar and get all my shopping done, I have my Decoy with an AC of about 46-47...lets see...

    10 - base
    +4 - DG Racial bonus
    +7 - Shield
    +5 - Expertise
    +5 - Ghost Armor
    +4 - Haste
    +5 - Brazen/Indomitable Bands
+1 - Swing from the Masts
    +1 - Sunfire Talisman's Normal version I think...
    +5 - Barkskin
+6 - Monk class + WIS Bonus (IIRC...this COULD be 7 as well, I'm not too sure)
+6/7 - Aura of Vitality + Cat's Grace for DEX

Totals out to about 60 AC IIRC and I haven't been touched so far except for 20s. Even then, I have him cast Fire Shields (Red & Blue) as well as Death Armor so he damages his opponents for a good 30-40 damage.

Naah, he has started with some consept characters, played for a little while, found something that he wanted to improve on, and started anew. I bet he has started over 20-30 times already, possibly never gotten to chapter two. He just can't stop until he got the *PERFECT* team. He done the same to all the other games as well (IWD1 and BG1, forgot if he tried PST yet).

So I'm just taunting him :) becose I know he won't listen to me anyways.
