Everybody loves DDO, it seems. An interesting MMORPG? Quite a few gaming sites seem to think so, anyway. Certainly we won't mourn the absence of tiresomely generic quests to kill a certain number of whizzywhigs, or collect 8 foozles, or deliver this zingythingy to Ted in Accounting. When you're asked to do something, it looks like you're actually being asked to do something, rather than engage in an arbitrary task that will grant you arbitrary items, as the guys at IGN said. Not bad, huh?

DDO also garnered high praise from MMOGCHART in its 2005 E3 report, its review at MMORPG.com, Warcry.com's visit with Turbine, and from Stratics Central.

It won the Ten Ton Hammer E3 Editor's Choice award, Gamespot's best MMORPG for 2005, Yahoo! Games Domain's best MMORPG, and IGN's Best Persistent World Game award.

According to OGaming, there is a lot you can say about a game like DDO and at the same time its hard to put into words just how wonderful it really is. Seems almost too good to be true - first person to spot the catch gets a cookie.

All this is summarized at the DDO homepage.
