Well, as already stated in my introduction to this forum, I am currently playing SoA as a Chaotic Evil Priest of Talos.

I'm almost hitting level 10 and am currently going to spit lightning through the whole unseeing eye cult. Those heretics remind me of Ajantis' BLIND DEVOTION, you know :D ... same fate for them XD

The point is.. my original idea was to dual class to a mage.

mirror image + stormshield + all countless buffs + additional lightning (which I have learned to use quite with accuracy) + tenser + crom faeyr are my idea.

I thought to dual class at 11 since that's when I'll take 1 additional stormshield if I am not wrong.

Thoughts about this build (which I haven't seen that much around)?

I have started this char on BGTutu, so I am backed up by INT 19 :)

I am, besides the original idea, beginning to like the Priest of Talos, it is the first time I roll one.
And what if I decided to NOT dual-class in the end?

I don't have any experience with BG2 clerics, and very little experience with dual-classing, so I can't give you comprehensive advice, but I just wanted to point out that if you dual after level 11, it will take you twice as long to regain your cleric levels than if you dual after level 10.

You can see it in this graph: [IMG] (click for full size)
Reaching 11 Mage levels takes only 375,000 XP, but reaching 12 Mage levels takes 750,000 XP in total. (You need to reach one level higher than your first class had, to regain your first class's levels.)

So the price for that one additional cleric level, is you'll be "gimped" as a single-class Mage for twice as long...

Thanks for the answer and good point.

I'll have to evaluate that additional stormshield vs. that wall of exp :/
It's 6 seconds elemental and missile immunity per priest level... :/

    Edit:

In the end, I dual classed immediately at level 11. :p
I could not resist the extra abilities. Having previously run through the game with a Warrior(13)/Thief, I think I will manage it. Let's hope the Stormshield is worth longer Dragon battles and ToB :)
