[IMG] Im looking for a way to hack the game so my Fighter/Mage/Cleric can use normal weapons of a fighter. I was thinking about giving him the high level theif ability "Use any Item" through Shadow Keeper... Im not sure this would work. Or what innate ability it is. So could anyone tell me:

    1. If this works
    2. What spell
    3. Any other ways to do it

I don't think that adding use any item would be a nice idea - additionally I think that you'll get a monster-cheater-char that way. I wouldn't even try to create such a beast.

The only thing I would accept is to give the priest of helm his beloved sword ... since the sword is helm's faoured weapon. You could edit the CLASWEAP.2DA file and allow the priest of helm to use swords. However, since I'm not familiar with editing I can't tell you how this is done.

Yes I know it's cheating. I tend to have two types of games.
    1. Hacked
    2. Unhacked
This time I was going for number two to solo a godlike character. I don't need to hack anything but this little thing. So do you think this will work adding the ability?

[IMG] I doubt it will work, but you could try.

And what do you mean "normal" fighter weapons?!?! Any self respectful cleric finds beauty in those fine weapons that are available to him/her.

/me goes to break every sword in Faerun over his knees (except maybe Celestial Fury and Foebane)

Giving your character the use any item ability would work if you give your character it it would appear with his other abilities...you click on it and boom you can use any item......at least....im pretty sure....its worth a shot at least right?

Aren't there "priests" or followers of Helm that aren't Clerics but fight for Helm? Maybe the swords were intended for them?
