    I noticed that about once in a while I will have trouble getting into one of my FVW's (Frequently Visited Websites), including this one.
    I always assumed that either:
    1)The site was taken down for "maintenance" (no I don't know what that would involve, I am a COBOL person, not a Web page programmer, dammit!)
    2)there were so many people on the site that I couldn't get in.

    Happens from time to time. I myself couldn't get through, the server that has the cgi scripts for the message board was down or couldn't be hit for whatever reason. Seems they're fixed now. It also happens the odd time when two people are trying to register a post at the exact sametime. Usually hitting the refresh button or waiting a minute fixes it, but if it happens all the time, it's the server.

    [​IMG] Sorry for all the inconvenience folks. I was so pissed off when I found out that none of the cgi scripts were working but I couldn't do a damn thing about it till I got home. And even after that it took a while to get it fixed.
    Similarily, I couldn't even put a notice in the news about it because that also runs off a cgi script... AARGH!
    Well now it's been fixed and the problem report is also available in the news at the main page at http://www.sorcerers.net

    Hopefully it won't be a problem anymore, but if it just happens from time to time, try reloading the page. That works for the simultaneous posts problem.

    What gets me is they fix it, or say they do, yet it happens every now and then, the same problem. Seriously, fix it and fix it for good! Happened today (Saturday) too.
