    Hey everyone.

Just lately my machine has been acting very strangely. When I turn it on it will work ok for a few mins (sometimes even up to an hour) and then the keyboard and mouse will lock out. now, the odd bit is, the computer is not freezing - things still work in the back, ie: web pages loading. but I can't do anything.. what's wrong and how do I fix it?

What kind of operating system are you running? What type of keyboard/mouse do you have? (What manufacturer, is it USB, cordless - that sort of thing)

I had a similar problem once, and I do not think it has anything to do with your keyboard/mouse.

Do you have a VIA motherboard and/or an AMD Thunderbird processor and/or Win2k?

If it's just your mouse but everything else is fine then you can try this, it works for me. Just press Ctrl + Alt + Del (panic reboot)and your mouse and keyboard should unfreeze.
But don't get impatient and press it twice because it could just be slow and your mouse will unfreeze but then your comp will reboot.
