Problems in Watcher's Keep...

    I've experienced crashes just after entering
    the Watcher's Keep...
    I wonder if it's a problem with XP or if it's
    due to my messing with the character's kits..
    Anyone else had experienced that?

    [​IMG] It probably isnt winxp thats what Im using but mine kept crashing a lot after I changed valygar to a monk with shadowkeeper.I had to kick him out in the end cos I couldnt even adjust his inventory without anything crashing at all.Unless you have a save game close by with no enhancements you might have to start a new game.

    [​IMG] As i've told people before, don't mess with the NPC kits. it simply won't work.
    Try re-installing the game if you can't change them back.

    I've also found numerous problems with switching NPC class/kits. Some changes do work, however. For instance, I did make Aerie a sorcerer without causing problems.

    [​IMG] Why not make a new carracter, with the looks and voice of the NPC. You can completly edit this one with shadow keeper, or what ever you like to use, and the game wil except it! But I don't know what happens with "Home made" NPC after you finished the entire game, you might not get his story...

    Strangely enough, I never experienced any problem with switching npc's classes:
    I made jaheira a kenief then a monk, the same with yoshimo and edwin, I made Viconia a clericof talos/mage and aerie a scald, minsc an undead hunter and sarevok a mage, and never had any problem:
    do you switch npc's appearance and stats accordingly to the kits you give them?

    [​IMG] sarevok a mage? That sounds like a verry cool idea :). But it is a good point you mentioned ther : NOT only change the KIT but also things that are connected to it!

    I mean if you have a mage and you change him into a fighter, but let him keep his magespells, that will give a lot of troubel, I think..(So I am, I think :)) :eek:
