    [IMG] Here's my story:

So I was truging through the underdark with my cleric solo (thetruth inspired me!) in an unmodded game, and it was just getting stupidly easy. So I decided to install some mods and play as a party:

    Ascension
    Quest Pack
    Dungeon-be-gone
    ease-of-use
    G3 Anniversary
    G3 Tweak
    Improved Asylum
    Item Upgrade
    Oversight
    Planar Sphere mod
    Tactics
    Unfinished Business

After installing all of those and starting, I realized that I had never even played as a party in the unmodded game (I usually solo) so I decided to uninstall most of the mods and just play a relatively normal game with a party. The first mod I uninstalled was ascension. After uninstalling it, I tried to uninstall tactics, but the weidu console thingy was acting as if tactics was already uninstalled (I was not getting the option to uninstall components)! This happened for all the rest of the mods too! Only problem was that once I got back into the game I realized that they hadn't ever actually been uninstalled!

Thinking this was just some uninstall/reinstall error, I tried the following:

    1. Install or Reinstall every mod
    2. Uninstall every mod
    3. Reinstall the mods I wanted (dungeon-be-gone, Ease of use, tweak pack, unfinished business, and item upgrade)

I thought that this would do the trick, but when I go back into the game it seems that the other mods are still installed!!!! :( :(

So how on earth am I supposed to remove these mods? I just want to play with my throwing spear-wielding half-orc Kensai and party! :(

When you install several mods there is a chance more than one may change the same file. So when uninstalling, the order is important. If you uninstall Ascension (first in your list here) WeiDU will have to temporarily uninstall and then reinstall all mods you installed after Ascension, or else the differing mod order could mean some things are screwed up.

If you want to uninstall mods, you need to click on each one's setup to uninstall them individually. The exact order will not matter, although the most rapid order would be to uninstall the most recently-installed ones first.

If you have uninstalled things correctly and changes are still showing in your game, it suggests something's wrong on your end. Did you perhaps install/uninstall mods with the game or a game editor running, or with the WeiDU.log file open? Did you manually change the contents of WeiDU.log or start removing files from your Override directory? If so, you need to reinstall things properly.

    Hope this helps!

Hmm I don't believe I've done anything wrong.

I know I didn't install or uninstall mods with the game, an editor, or a weidu.log open.

I'm going to try uninstalling every mod again.

If it doesn't work, though, and there are still changes in game, what do you mean by "reinstall things properly"?

A proper install of mods is like this:

BG2: ToB (I assume you have it since this is in the ToB forum :) )
    Official ToB patch
    Baldurdash ToB patch
Any non-WeiDu mod (mods usually tell you if they are made with WeiDu)
    WeiDu mods
Ascension should be the last mod you install (iirc, it changes certain files that other mods use)

Just uninstall each mod and see if a vanilla game is what you get. If it works, put in the mods you want.

    @kuemper

    That's exactly what I did.

The problem is that I can't uninstall any of the weidu mods. That is to say, it SAYS they are successfully uninstalled when I try to do it, but when I start a game it is as if all the mods are still on.

I've tried uninstalling the mods a few times now, to no avail.

Can anybody describe to me how to cleanly uninstall the game? If I just uninstall it normally is that okay or do I need to do some special uinstall method to get rid of all the residual stuff from the mods?

No. Ascension should basically be the first WeiDU mod you install.

just for Clarification. Why should Ascension be one of the first? It's changes to the endings or some other factor?
