Hi need help please. Using Leto, I had given myself auto-quicken spell 3. According to the manual this allows me to cast level 9 spells in a "quicken" manner. However I can only cast level 5 spells when I click on my level 9 list.

    Errr....what's wrong? bug with leto?

Quickened spells occupy spell slots four levels higher than normal... I think it's working properly, just not the way you imagined it would.

It says on the bioware website that automatic quicken III allows the character to cast 7-9 spells as though with the quicken spell feat.

It is also supposed to be automatic, so maybe what you are doing is preparing them with the quicken spell feat.

From what I understand, automatic means that you don't have to do anything differently to gain the effect.

Automatic Quicken Spell allows the first spell that is cast needs no casting, and that casting that spell does not count as an action. Any second spell cast in the same round will be cast normally.

As Chevalier Mal Fet indicates, you do not have to prepare your spells beforehand using the Quicken Spell metamagic feat for the Automatic Version to work. If you do so, you are restricted by the rules of normal Quicken Spell (i.e. must be memorised 4 spell levels higher).
