    In short:

One of my friends who was supposed to join in in our 5-6p multiplayer session is experiencing a problem. He has a double firewall (one software, otherone somehow integrated into his Telewell connection device) and WinXP. Both firewalls should've been shut down, but still he is unable to connect to other servers. Any experiences of your own about this? Or should I really turn for the company's own official help?

I've had experience with that, but I couldn't solve the problem either.

The software firewall shouldn't be a problem. Just set it on low security and it should be alright.

The hardware firewall in his connection device is a big pain. In my house, we have 3 computers linked to a hub, and then the ADSL box linked to the hub. It allows all 3 computers internet access (for the price of one ;) )... but the hub has the firewall that prevents hosting/joining online games.

If your friend's connection is somewhat similar to this, I suggest he connects his computer directly to the internet device. (ie: bypass the hub with the firewall)

It worked for me for a few days, but it cuts internet access from the other computers, so enjoy it until the rest of the family starts complaining too much. But the funny thing is, the second time I tried this connection, it didn't work anymore. So it's still a problem for me right now, so if you find a better solution, please post it.
