I have recently installed some more mods (still not as many as Silverstar but I am trying) and the duration for stoneskin has gone down to 4 rounds!!! A right pain in the ass when you still have plenty skins to last and the vanish right before you get hit only few moments after casting the damn spell. I am pretty sure that this is the doing of a mod but it could just be me in all my ignorance overlooking some element of the game that effects this.

It's an optional component from AoE. You needn't uninstall the whole thing, though. The docs will tell you which component is the culprit.

Sounds like an intentional component of a difficulty increasing mod. Reducing Stoneskin's duration to that of Mantle, PfMW, and the like. I'd suggest you look over the readmes of the mods you have, and if you can't find it out on your own, give us a list to examine.

EDIT: Beaten to the punch by seconds.

Cheers, it was a component of AoE. Glad to be back to the 8 hour duration, so damn good.

I say you just fix it youself. Go into an item editor and set the duration back to the way it was.

Be careful in the future, when installing new mods, first read the readme to learn about all components, and allow Weidu to ask you which components to install. There are far worse components in other mods which nerf the power of the player. (XP caps, lowered XP rewards, delayed HLAs or no HLA at all etc. Sucks to me.)
