PfMW is a lower level and does the same if not more than mantle does? Or am I misinterpreting it?

PfNW protects from non-magical weapons for 1 round / caster lvl.
PfMW protects from any magical weapon for 4 rounds, but not non-magical weapons.
Mantle protects up to +2 magical weapons for 4 rounds, including non-magical weapons.
Improved mantle protects up to +3 magical weapons for 4 rounds, including non-magical weapons.
Absolute immunity protects up to +4 magical weapons for 4 rounds, including non-magical weapons.

PfNW you can get permanently as a monk, or better than that in one of the hell trials. There's also an armour that will convey protection from normal weapons.

For the other spells, PfMW seems the best choice, you'd need at least improved mantle otherwise to get any sort of protection in ToB. The only downside is that non-magical weapons may still hurt you with PfMW, but other than that it's pretty much the best option.

For myself, if an enemy caster casts PfMW I just try to hang back, if they cast a type of mantle, I tend to just ignore it, as there is typically quite a few +4 or better weapons that you can find for your party.
