So, I started playing Icewind Dale II for the first time. I also watched some videos of a Let's Play of this game. In the Let's Play, whenever a quest was completed the amount of experience gained for the completed quest shows up. But in my game, the amount of experience gained only shows up for enemies killed. I still get the quest experience as normal in the quests, but I would really like to know the amount of experience I gain for quests. The only message I get is "The party has gained experience" without showing the amount. So my question is: Is there a way to fix this? Is it a bug or is it normal?

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Start the configuration program and check if you can enable it there.

Make sure you got all the messages selected under Options -> Feedback. I think quest exp is part of the "other" category, not quite sure.

I got every option under feedback enabled and still nothing. As for the configuration program, I just found out I don't have it! I got this game from GOG.com and other games, including the first Icewind Dale have their configuration programs. This means I cannot select Heart of Fury mode in Icewind Dale II. :( Should I uninstall the game and install it again? Any advice would be welcome again. By the way, I'm running the game on Windows XP.

Never mind. After exploring a bit on my computer I finally found the configuration file and now I'm able to select Heart of Fury mode when I want to and the option to display quest experience is inside this file and not in the options menu in the game.

Thanks for the help and sorry for the trouble.
