Started a solo Inquisitor. Realized that some decent equipment might be held in locked chests. Is there anyway that a paladin can unlock chests or doors? I do not care about disarming traps, I have low enough saving throws and about 25 healing potions, so I can just eat the damage if I take any.

    Thank you for your time.

You can bash locks open by force attacking them, although you need good strength to do this (potions help also)

    edit: typos...

Once you're far enough into the game you can make the Crom Faeyr your lockpick. Whenever you run across a chest that is locked just switch the Holy Avenger around and bash away with the hammer. It's not guaranteed to work all the time but it's your best option. But since you aren't your best bet are strength potions. Just make sure not to run out. They're pretty expensive in the beginning but as you finish quests and collect money you'll have enough in no time.

(Off topic: I prefer soloing with some form of fighter/mage because I'd be able to use the knock spell. It makes it a lot easier to deal with chests.)

[IMG] Not to worry! There's nothing you really need that's locked away so that you can't get it without lockpicking. :)
