[IMG] I recently bought a new pc - I never had a chance to play the three DLC modules Anchorage, Broken Steel and The Pitt on my old pc before I moved to the new one. Now, whenever I try to log out of LIVE and just play from the desktop, I get a message that says "some content may be missing." That never happened on my old pc, even though I had the DLC modules loaded onto it.

Just to be sure, I downloaded the DLC modules I bought onto my new pc, but when I leave Vault 101 while playing off the desktop, I don't find the Pitt or Broken Steel radio signals.

Is it a problem with Vista? Can I only play the DLC while logged into LIVE? Anyone have any suggestions?

So far I'm not enjoying Vista - I miss XP. It may not have been perfect, but I knew how to use it. Vista makes accessing and finding files much more tedious. I also don't like how it makes decisions for you behind the scenes...Anyway, I digress - any help would be appreciated.

Since these are rather specific questions, in case no one here can help, try the official Fallout 3 forums.

Not directly related to your problem (or maybe it is, if Vista is the cause), but why not switch back to XP if you suspect this is the problem and don't even like Vista anyway? There are ways to legally downgrade a Vista licence to XP if you already have a genuine copy of XP.

I'm wondering how my pc would run on XP versus Vista. I think I need the 64-bit O/S...But who knows? This is outside my area of expertse...

By the way - I've tried the Bethesda and XBOX Live forums for support and help, but I've received no response. It's funny how everythign works when you pay them money - but afterward: crickets!
