Quick Item Slot #1 problem

    Hello everyone,

    I have the 5+1 CD version of BG1+TOTSC, installed both BG1 alone and BG1+TOTSC, and both with the appropriate patches, all have the problem outlined below. Using WinXP SP2.

    I have a very strange problem. Quick Item Slot #1 keeps being activated, as if I had a hotkey defined for it and kept said key pressed. This is particularily obvious if I put an item which requires a target in the slot (eg., a Stone to Flesh scroll).

    Only I have no hotkey defined. If I go into the config tool the box for Quick Item Slot #1 is empty, so I have no idea what's going on here.

    Since others are running the game just fine on WinXP it can't be a problem with the OS, it must be something with my install, I just have no clue what it might be. If I go into the control panel and adjust the keyboard repeat rate this is also reflected inside the game. Is there a hidden hotkey for Quick Item Slot #1 which isn't documented anywhere that, somehow, my WinXP install keeps pressed? I have no problems with stuck keys anywhere else than in BG1.

    Anyone have any clues how I might fix this bug?

    Press F9. It is related to cordless keyboards/mice.

    Thank you very very much, that worked... so F9-F11 is Quick Item Slot default hotkeys.
