    I recently ordered it off amazon (still to come ;) ) but has anyone else read it? If so what do you think of it, and any of the books that follow it in the series (I don't think they are written by Salvatore)?

    As a personal taste I really do not like the New Jedi Order novels, in fact there are very few star wars novels that I would actually consider good. I can't really say why I don't like them without a spoiler be warned.

    Don't really like them cause he kills off all the characters that I think *cough* Furball *cough*

    I guess not considering that they are okay books, but no better than most of the other staw wars novels.

    It sets the tone of the entire NJO series to a much darker setting thatn we've gotten used to... even if it sucks. It's Salvatore on his worst... I mean, he messes with established SW technical data, mixes upp details like eye color and it's just spo.... well, it's so very us-Starwarsy.

    But the fact is, it brngs a new era pf SW fiction and what fllows is way better... so do read it.
