Doesn't look like it does anything... maybe someone can check the game files to make sure.

What an ironic name for someone asking about a rabbit! ;)

You have my mod (Light of Selune) installed!

As the description says, put it on and you might (as in, will) get lucky... as in +1 to Luck. :)

I know there's a similar item that one of the pre-generated characters has in his inventory if you pick a pre-generated party.

ah. no wonder i'd never seen it before! :D

while we're on the subject, what exactly does luck do, anyway? how is it determined? is there a way to see how much luck you have?

i know that in the Ice Temple, when i broke a mirror, i got bad luck and then all my rolls were 1s...

That's a very special bad luck curse in the temple.

Luck bonus simply makes the number you rolled on a dice 1 better.

    Ex:When you roll a d8, a roll of 1 will be 2. A roll of 7 will be 8, but a roll of 8 will still be a 8.

Crucis will know better ofcourse. AFAIK luck may eliminate the chance of critical misses and increase the chance of critical hits. Very handy.

Actually, Silverstar, I don't really know if Luck will increase the chance of a critical hit or not. It will certainly increase the chance of any hit, but I've heard that critical hits require a natural, unmodified roll... but I don't know if that's true or not.

Regardless, a Luck bonus is definitely a "good thing".

    ^I agree. Good thing!

I think luck does not increase crit hit chance. There are other weapons and spells which do that. (keen weapons, Executioner's Eyes and all...)

It still protects against critical misses eh?

Don't know that either. I'd tempted to think that any natural roll of 1 may be a bad thing.

Hmm, kinda confusing. I guess one should make a test with a luck item, attack countless times and see if you score one critical miss in 100 attacks. If you never get to roll a 1, that means it protects against critical misses.

Luck doesn't increase critical range in any way, but since it modifies the attack roll, "almost critical" rolls get nudged to "actual criticals", so in essence, yes, luck DOES give you critical hit increase.

I've tested this extensively and it really works beyond wonders with melee weapons. Not sure of spells - I've heard reports that stat-increasing spells like Bull's Strength get Luck bonus while damage spells such as fireball don't. Would need to test to know for sure.

Healing spell gets the increase! Also those berries that lvl1 druids can get. I also think saving throws can't become critical misses under influence of luck (which is useful for my decoy when I'm out of mirror images and want to continue through some more fights before resting.) That last effect is great for me since I'm good at rolling 1:s on my saving throws when my high-AC and reflex-save decoy tries to evade fireballs.

That's really neat... I never found one! :)

Just check to see if you ever roll a 1 with that character. You may have found a very powerful item.

I can't find anything unique, except for a cat that heals half-orcs.

That one is sick to the core. Yech.

AFAIK, Rabbit's Foot item is a part of crucis's Light of Selune mod, so you can not get it without the mod.

There are other lucky items in the original game, however, they are difficult to come by, you need luck. :hahaerr:

Thanks Silverstar. I'm still wondering what Sir Fink was talking about though.
