And I am merely passing through to say I'm on my way to the beach. Yee Ha!

RL has been, well, entirely too real lately. Some time in the sun is definitely called for, I think.

This is definitely :geezer: time at the beach. Younger folk, especially if they have kids, aren't free to come to the beach in October in the U.S., so my fifty something sister and I have it mostly to ourselves except for others in our ahem age range.

And I look forward to being more present here later, dudes.

At home, I'm not too bad about keeping to a reasonable number of windows. At work, however  I'm NetSupported into anywhere between 6-10 servers at any given time with all the domain change mess going on. Then there's email, browser with several tabs, any batch files or spreadsheets I'm working on... it gets crazy. It winds up being anywhere between 15-20 windows open at any given point.

I messed up my finger, I don't know what it is yet so there will be no more details until tomorrow... If I had to guess I'd say it was something dealing with connective tissue, but I don't know this stuff.

Only a poor 3 to 5 tabs here, and that's during peaks of activity. :p

As childlish and silly as it sounds, I feel like playing with a helium balloon, (of the shiny, animal shaped kind) but there is no fair in town (as medieval as that sounds) to get one.

Yeah good to see him finally get it. I would have thought that Kosovo buried his chances to ever get it. Funny that he got it now when no one really expected it.

martaug: Mylar baloons? I was wondering what a proper term for them would be in English. Thanks.
As for your question: I live in a small town, so, no, not really. Such baloons are mostly fair decorations here, sold on the streets. There are probably a few stores that sell them in some of the larger cities, but none of them nearby.

Ruptured extensor tendon... Gotta have my finger in a splint for 4-6 weeks and might not be able to extend it even after the time has elapse... No basketball, this sucks.

Why I was playing basketball of course! Just jammed my finger like I do about every other time, and this time it was worse. Played for another hour or so since it didn't hurt, but I knew it would need some treatment.

ChickenIsGood: Ouch. Finger injuries suck indeed. At least nothing is broken, though.
