[IMG] I'm starting to get very very angry with this!! I always try to "use" the scheme of the random items to change the items I don't like! But I had ever did it, I mean, it simply doesn't work with me...in the Severed Hand, I always get that damned bad Kaylessa's Ring..this item is incredibly stupid! I save the game after killing all her soldiers and just before going down the level to kill her!! But the ring is still chasing me! What I'm doing wrong here??

Kaylessa's ring can't be a random item because it has an owner and his owner's name: Kaylessa. Kaylessa wields this ring, it is hers so it can't be a random item, if you understand what I mean.

For example, I have a sword and a gem. The sword's name is Alexander's Sword, the gem is just a simple gem. Since the sword was made for me(it bears my name) it can't be a random item. But the gem is. It could be GP, another gem, a necklace, a ring or even a weapon or an armor(all of them non-magical if the gem has a low value).

Actually, Kaylessa's ring is a random item, according to Dan Simpson's walkthrough. Other possible items are Kaylessa's Gloves, Kaylessa's Chainmail and Kaylessa's Bow.

If you want another random item, I think that you must reload a game before entering the area.

The random tables are in place for most areas, but once you enter that area they lock and you will always get the same things there, even if you save and reload. To be able to see all the randomness you'd have to have a savegame outside the area in which you want to see the random loot. Considering some areas are grouped this can mean having a savegame quite far back.

    Yep.

Or you can just go ahead and give yourself the item with Dalekeeper, and pretend that you spent 2 hours of reloading. It's like using the fast forward button.

    Time Compression.

People, thank you very much!!! I will try to save before entering the area for the first time in the later games. BUT while I do not do it, I will try to use this Dalekeeper...hope is the same way as the Shadowkeeper to BG2!!!

Getting items thorugh console is much safer way than using Dalekeeper. I don't trust Dalekeeper, because it has corrupted my save once, and that appeared much later in the game.

You can find codes and item lists from SP: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/IWD/index_tips.php

Well, I don't know the difference between Dalekeeper and the Console (actually, I don't know most anything of either), but thanks for the advice!!
