[IMG] Hey everyone. I was just wondering, if you dual-class a ranger to a cleric at lvl8, do you aquire druid spells aswell as cleric spells as you go up more lvls? Thanks in advance.

Yes, i think the ranger has to reactivate before you get them, but after that you can use cleric and druid spells.

    Correct.

And just to clarify, once that happens, your access to druid spells is based on your cleric level - ie. even though a ranger can only get up to level 3 druid spells, a ranger/cleric (dual or multi) can access all priest spells based on cleric level, so for example, a r/c with cleric level 11 would have access to level 6 druid spells. This is the main thing that makes a r/c so powerful.

That's why, if you want to take a cleric through the series, you start him as a ranger in BG I and dual over ASAP to cleric - cheese festival.

[IMG] Alright thanks guys. But one more question. Will I get extra spell slots per lvl? Also, what stronghold do you guys suggest I take?

I have the De´Arnise Keep and the thief Guildhall for my fighter/thief. I guess it depends on your class. However, word has it that if you get the Keep first, you will not be able to gain the wizard stronghold, as a wizard, that is. Don´t really know, never played SoA as a wizard.

Unless you have the multiple strongholds mod installed, you can never have more than one stronghold. Whichever one you pick first, you're stuck with.

I recommend the ranger stronghold. Cleric is small and dull, in my opinion.

I don´t have any mods installed.... I just finish the quests given by Renal Bloodscalp. I squeeze him a bit about a reward before taking on the assignment, and he offers me the Guildhall as "payment".

After that, I take on the Keep and gain lordship over Nalia´s lands. No multiple stronghold mods necessary. I don´t know, if it also applies to other classes, I´m just quoting other people.

Hmm.... some really interesting ideas about fighter/mage/thieves just came to mind. Would that be possible? I´ll have to try it.

    Hi -

Wasn't that a patch issue? I.e., in unpatched games certain multi/dual class combinations could obtain dual strongholds?

Unfortunately the spell slots do not stack. Which means that the only advantage is the ability to cast both Clerical and Druidic spells.
You won't get extra spells for having a Ranger dualled into a Cleric. The number of spells per level will entirely depend on your level as a Cleric (even if your Ranger class is active).
The best thing is to go multiclass, since the ranger kits are not that great if you dual to Cleric.
The only problem is that a MC R/C is way too powerful...
