Read Salvatore or play Baldur's Gate?

    Would you rather read Ra. Salvatore's fantasy books or play Baldur's Gate. State your opinions.

    It all depends on what sort of mood I am in. If I feel mentally tired and want some nice light entertainment that I don't have to think hard about then I would favour reading books by an author like Salvatore. If I am in the mood for thinking then I would play Baldur's Gate or read something by a more sophisticated author.

    Funny you should mention this. Both! I started BG1 a couple of weeks ago and was finishing up DET. I spent 2 - 4 hours playing BG1, then when I got exhausted, I flipped over to DET and read for a couple of hours. Now, I'm doing the same thing with BG1 and The Chronicles. Works out great!

    I don't find them comparable, because reading Salvatore's works is to read another author. If I play BG then I am the author...
