I have seen Hide and Seek, Alone in the Dark and Boogeyman lately.

Alone in the Dark was just terrible. This movie sucks. Tara Reid as an expert scientist? C'mon gentlemen, some credibility please.

Boogeyman wasn't too bad and had a great opening scene. It jumps around a bit too much though and there are lags between scenes that I could have read a book.

Hide and Seek was great. Deniro and Fanning were amazing. The greatest plot twist since the Usual Suspects. Go see it, guys.

Creep was not so good either.

I dread the remake of 'The Eye' and 'Ring 2' but 'The Grudge 2' should be great - respect to the directer by doing a movie that I liked (dispite starring Buffy) and giving credit to the original Japanese movie and not passing it off as his own original idea!

The Grudge was one of the best chiller horror movies I have seen in a while. Some of those scenes were downright creepy.

I will be seeing Hide and Seek when it comes to the UK though I will probably skip Boogeyman.

I knew Alone in the Dark would be crap!

What's some of your favourites, Cesard? I like Salem's Lot (original), The Exorcist, The Thing and the Grudge. Honourable mention to Hide and Seek, Needful Things, The Changeling and The Fog. I didn't like The Company of Wolves but damn, they were good at creating atmosphere in that movie.

    We have similar tastes.

    I like:

xtro - but its been many years since I have watched it
Invasion of the body snatchers - all versions
Day of the Triffids - same as above
Exorcist - more disturbing that scary
    The Grudge remake - excellent!
    RingU - original and best
Amityville Horror - most of them were good.

I agree with you on 'Company of the Wolves'. 'Laid of the White Worm' had great atmosphere but I still didn't like it much.

Old Italian slasher and zombie movies are also great too!
